Regardless of whether or not you are new to the lifestyle or a seasoned swinger we have all encountered it – Swingers websites that blatantly lie about what they are or who actually uses them.
I am not talking about the occasional out of proportion claim of membership size or not being able to regulate fully that members only have one account at a time. What I am referring to is the complete disregard for the lifestyle person looking for a resource and being lured in by a complete and utter lie. The lifestyle is built on open communication, honesty and integrity so needless to say this rubs me the wrong way – BIG TIME.
Have a look a the photo below…
OK as of 2011 according to google public data Canada had a TOTAL population of 34,482,779 – As you can see by the above screen shot there are 42+ Million members in Canada alone that use AFF…. ummmm really??? And this is only the tip of the iceberg with this site; did you know that they have a large network of sites setup just to drive traffic to them, these sites include: SeniorFriendfinder, Amigos.com, Passion.com, Xmatch.com, Alt.com and BigChurch.com (yes the last one is a religious dating site) I bet the members on BigChurch would leave in droves if they knew their usage and traffic was being used for a big porn machine disguised as a swingers dating site. It goes much deeper with known fake members being managed by staff, scams and phishing techniques and on and on the list goes.
So a final word of advice – find a site you can trust and stay away from big box sites that are in it for profit and not for community or connection. If a site has a claim of being #1 or anything else; simply they are not and should be avoided. The easiest way to see if a site truly does get traffic and is popular is via site usage analytics – look for user time online, pages viewed and a low bounce rate (single page hit which indicated bought traffic)
Hope this saves a few the agony (and costs) of joining the wrong swingers site!
